Harry Milne, Jack Knight, Lewis Fraser and Bird had competed in the heats, with Richards, Jones and Melbourne-Smith coming into the final quartet.
Fraser finished seventh in his 100m butterfly final, after earlier helping the relay squad.
"When they asked me to step up for the team I didn't even hesitate," said Fraser.
"I know that's an individual event for me, but I always swim with the team on my back."
Theodora Taylor continued her impressive display in the pool by qualifying for the women's 100m freestyle final.
The 17-year-old, who won a relay bronze on Saturday, swam the fourth fastest time to make it through to Monday night's final.
Sophie Davies did not qualify despite a season's best, while Kyle Booth bowed out in the men's 50m breaststroke semi-final.
Meghan Willis finished sixth in the women's S9 100m backstroke final, won by England's Alice Tai.
