Lucy Worsley Investigates: The American Revolution

9pm, BBC Two
Another sparky history lesson with expert Lucy Worsley, as she tells the British perspective – or “the untold version” – of the American Revolution. Marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the two-parter starts in New York where George Washington read out “the ultimate breakup letter”, then looks at the events of King George III’s reign that led up to this moment. For his latest soothing exploration of the UK’s inland waterways, narrowboat vlogger Robbie Cumming is puttering up from Llangollen in north Wales to Cheshire. A new English shrub rose named after David Beckham and a Saatchi Gallery garden inspired by Matisse’s The Dance are just a couple of highlights that the BBC will surely be lingering over at this year’s show. As per, it’s held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea for five days in May (though the whole district is full of fantastic floral arrangements too). Inhale deeply. Ali Catterall

Euphoria

Has Rue been left for dead in that ditch? Will Nate have any fingers left for the gangsters to rip off? And will Cassie’s Antony and Cleopatra role prove to be life-changing? The grubby but addictive drama is nearing its endgame, but don’t expect it to slow down. HR

This Is a Bomb: The Nevada Casino Heist

It is ironic that Nicole Kidman hiding her face behind layers of bad-skin makeup led to some of her most convincing film work in years. Karyn Kusama’s gripping crime thriller follows Erin Bell – alcoholic cop, bad mother – as she is forced to revisit a 17-year-old undercover FBI operation into a bank robbery that went wrong. The plot teases us with cause and effect, as the persistent Bell pursues escaped lead criminal Silas (Toby Kebbell) with little regard to procedure or personal safety. Simon Wardell
