The US pop star has previously revealed she is a keen gamer

Chappell Roan fans will soon be able to transform into the US pop star when playing the video game Fortnite.

The singer has been announced by developers Epic as the latest icon for the game's next festival season, which kicks off on Thursday.

As part of collaboration, players will be able to wear some of the singer's most iconic outfits and listen to some of her hit songs.

The collaboration comes after Roan told BBC Radio 1 last year that she would love to feature in the game.

During the interview with Radio 1 presenter Jack Saunders, the singer professed her love for the video game and asked the developers: "Please give me a skin, please".

She also told Saunders that when she wants to have a "really good night" she plays Fortnite.

Her pleas have finally been answered as the singer is getting her own Fortnite skin - which allows players to transform into a different character or person.

Among the looks on offer for players is one inspired by Roan's Joan Of Arc outfit which she wore during her 2024 MTV Video Music Awards performance.

There will also be a skin based on the singer's glam from her hit track Pink Pony Club.

The song has also been added to the festival's music library, and her other hits - Good Luck, Babe!, Hot To Go! and The Giver - will be returning to the collection.

The singer shared an image of her Joan of Arc inspired skin to her Instagram Story and said: "I got my own fortnite skin!! Out Thursday wowowow".

Fortnite Festival, which is now on its 13th season, is a "music-driven, rhythm-based game" within Fortnite which allows players to perform popular songs, according to the developers.

Roan shot to global fame over the past few years, picking up the Grammy for best new artist last year, as well as being crowned the winner of BBC Radio 1's Sound of 2025.

Roan is not the first star to foray into the gaming world, and joins the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Billie Eilish and Kim Kardashian who have all gotten their own Fortnite skins.
